There needs to be consequences for the actions of KSA and they need to feel pain so they will think twice about this type of action in the future. Arbitrarily cutting ofF the sale of billions of dollars of weapons to KSA has additional side affects that may be more detrimental to the agenda of our National Interest in many ways. It feels like cutting of our nose to spike our face. What would be more measured and benefit our nation more is to leverage this situation to create stronger agreements that would tie US continued support of the arms sales in exchange for OPEC continued support of the US backed petro dollar. This would continue to insure a strong US economy and allow us more time to deal with the bad situation of our current money supply. This would continue to leverage the Suadi’s dependence on the US which would reduce their options,so it would be a consequence they would continue to feel.
