As much as I respect and admire our men and women in blue, we have entered into a new era of uncertainty as a society. Our politicians are deeply untrusted, but on top of that, the small corrupt bunch in our law enforcement who have committed acts if police brutality on innocent members of the African American community or just acts of corruption in general through cover ups and have tried to blind the eyes of the public from the truth. It has caused us to be suspicious of our officers, and created a atmosphere in which even the good and dutiful officers are seen with fear and hatred, and police officers have been targeted and killed, with the fragile bonds of friendship in this country breaking in pieces. We must know what is going on so that we can build that trust once more. We must know that those we trust to protect us and our interests are doing their job to the best of their abilities. A sense of transparency must come so that a period of reconciliation can come to past. The people have spoken in the form of Black Lives Matter, petitions, etc, it's now time for the police to take the next step.
