Ethanol fortified gasoline (E-10) requires on average 10% more volume to produce the same energy as a given amount of gasoline. This isn’t helping the environment. It’s burning more hydrocarbons to go the same distance than we would if we did not use ethanol in our fuel. Stop wasting our taxes on ethanol subsidies and use those funds for research and development of actual technologies that will help transportation that will reduce emissions. Ethanol subsidies only raise the price of food (not just corn, anything that’s fed on corn, pretty much every meat at the market), premature wear and cause costly repairs of our gasoline powered vehicles, and line the pockets of bureaucrats.
Stop burning food as fuel.
