Although we are a country with a separation of Church and State, guaranteed in the Bill of Rights as a Freedom of Religion, there is an unmistakable disdain when people say “Merry Christmas” to other people. People decry that that is offensive and not politically correct to their being, but that’s the point. Freedom of Religion is FREEDOM OF RELIGION. If you do not like it, you do not need to live in this country and can practice your beliefs somewhere else. It is not one or the other. It is the Constitution, our way of life to function as a Christian. If we were taught history correctly, people would know that the only reason we were brought up as a country with no established church because there were all these Protestant and Non-Conformist religions vying for recognition. This is a Christian country founded on Freedom of Religion, so do not question my beliefs and defend others.
