This is an open ended bill with several easy-to-exploit loopholes that pretends people are machines. Perhaps training teachers how to use firearms (part of the suggested idea) might have some small assistance for some, but there really is not a good way to train someone who went into education due to their love of children to shoot a child down, even if they have a gun. Those with the conscience to do such a thing already likely have firearms training. Setting up locks is nice, but kids are smart. If they are planning a mass shooting, they will likely make notes of the locks and either work around them or break them. Said locks also would tend to give less places for students caught in hallways to go, making them easier targets. All this money would get you is an increased prison feel to schools, extra small weapons for students to steal from unsuspecting teachers, and easier targets for would be assailants.
