The wage gap does not exist as some make it out to be. There *is* a wage gap, but it's because of a few things: 1) Men generally work more hours. The most recent statistic I heard was that men work on average about 47hrs a week, and women on average about 41. 2) Men fill up the higher paying fields. Is this because of discrimination? I dunno, but that's a different discussion. It is, however, a fact that men work more STEM jobs. 3) Men don't take as many days off as women do. The most common and obvious one women take being Maternity Leave. --- TL;Dr don't waste time with "strengthening" an act that already makes it illegal to discriminate pay on any basis.
