there are those who are saying healthcare is a human right. I invite those who insists that it is a human right to provide any basis in our state constitutions or our federal Constitution for a right to healthcare. I've read these documents for 30 years. I've taught them as a professor of constitutional law. There is no right to healthcare. Beside the question of a right to healthcare, there's the more important question of the impact of a single payer, government orchestrated, system of healthcare on healthcare. The experience in great Britain, we're adults over the age of 50 or denied cancer treatments and other treatments that would prolong their lives, the experience of Canadians with delays and denials of service, and the American experience of the veterans health administration and the Indian health service tells us that our government is incompetent, just as others, to maintain, organize, and provide healthcare services.
