The EPA's Scientific Advisory Board a federal advisory committee which means it is subject to FACA rules and therefore is already adhering to the provisions that this is supposedly about. I believe the true intent of this bill is to take away from the actual science of this board. Federal advisory committees are already public meetings which are announced in the federal register like all FACA committee meetings, they already provide conflicts of interest and financial disclosures, and there are already opportunities to have dissent voiced by committee members and liaisons, professionals in the field, and the public. Perhaps the sponsor of this ridiculous piece of legislation should sit in on a few of the meetings or even watch the recorded proceedings of previous meetings. The sponsor, like me and the rest of the public, can find that information at https://yosemite.epa.gov/sab/sabproduct.nsf/MeetingCalBOARD?OpenView. I didn't even have an assistant find it for me; I just Googled it.
