I do not support this Bill.
This Bill is yet another effort to remove the leverage that proponents of border security have. I am not in favor of removing that leverage.
The leftest who have taken over the Democrat Party are playing politics with our security. It is clear that they understand the need for security, albeit not too effective; however, they do not want Trump to get a political victory. They are all disappointing those of us who care more about our country then our politics.
The Congress has kicked this can of border security down the road for too many years. We need to construct physical barriers as passive security measures where appropriate.
National security is one of the Federal Government’s primary responsibilities. Border security is part of national security. We continue to spend blood and treasure to defend the borders of other nations - we deserve security for our citizens.
I certainly hope that my Alaskan legislators do not fold to the left.
Yes, there are going to be some services not provided to the public. We need to make sure that agencies do not intentionally throttle back the front line employees that are key and essential towards increasing the pressure on the administration to fold to the left.
There will be federal employees impacted by late paychecks, I experienced this twice during my federal career with DoD, and understand the challenge. Still, some things are too important to shrug off. We need to find ways to help those who live paycheck to paycheck, but we cannot fold on our national security.
