It's to the point that full time, two working parent families still struggle each month to meet basic needs. That's counterproductive for our nation to grow and that's not what faced people just a generation ago. I know because I'm from that generation. On the one hand, politicians say that working people have to pay more for their health care and then, in the next breath, say that minimum wage cannot be raised. That's callous and counter productive. A robust middle class brought our country its power, respect, and stability. Now its time for working people to have some freedom from a constant financial worry so our country may continue to flourish.
