I have lived in Alaska for over 45 years. My legislators, and our Pig, want to take a pristine environment and destroy it for THEIR personal gain. It is unconscionable. The Pebble Mine, for example, would, most likely, at some point, destroy a salmon fishery that is one of the most important on this earth. Remember there has never been a mine that DID NOT fail.
Furthermore, we have had numerous oil spills on land and sea that have killed countless plants, animals, birds, fish, etc. The destruction these industries have caused, in many cases, have cost us taxpayers billions of dollars in cleanup. IT MUST STOP. When these industries totally destroy our food sources on land and sea, what will we feed on - oil and minerals? Not what I want in my diet. Do you?
