I am sympathetic to the needs of those suffering as a result of government's chosen courses of action during the pandemic. However, I do not feel it is the entire country's responsibility to shoulder the burdens created by some states that rely on federal money to deal with such issues. Additionally, this bit being inserted into the bill is where you really lose me: "Access to no-excuse absentee vote-by-mail would be required for all voters beginning with the November 2020 federal election. States would be prohibited from imposing additional conditions or requirements for eligibility to vote by absentee ballot on people who are already eligible voters. States would be prohibited from requiring any form of identification to obtain an absentee ballot, although requiring a signed affirmation of identity would be permitted." As I understand it, absentee ballots are already a thing. As I see it, voter ID should be mandatory.
