It is basic Economics. Raising min wage does nothing except hurt the majority of people that make above min wage. Business owners will have to raise prices to pay for the rising cost of payroll so then there is no benefit in long run. Also every time we have raise min wage, until prices increase enough to pay for it, you increase the number of people making min wage. Those people that have worked hard, stayed at same job long enough to make $13/hr now just lost their raise. You increase poverty when you raise min wage.
