The cost of living keeps rising, and wages stay stagnant, the average American works harder for less. I worked hard at a company for 12 years, and every year I paid more for benefits so much more that the yearly raises sometimes didn't even cover the increases. The company was sold to a much bigger company, and I was laid off. Companies no longer value employees I was told multiple times that I was a liability because I cost the company money, never mind I earned that money by coming to work every day and doing my job. I pay my taxes and yes I'm taxed multiple times on my income, we all are we don't always called it a tax sometimes it's called a fee or a deductible but the end result is the same less of my money I get to keep.
