I am a 21-year-old woman that is conventionally able, based on first impressions. However, I have metallic screws implanted in my pelvis from a previous car accident. The pain the snow's moisture and air pressure brings is equivalent if not greater than that of arthritis. Shoveling in that condition would be nearly impossible despite how above average my health is for my age. I can understand this challenge, and why assistance may be needed for those of disability or extended age. If it's difficult for me, I can hardly imagine the impossibility it poses them.
