I am sure local and state governments would love to tax the internet. It is about the only thing that is not being taxed by some form of government. But this like taxing the air. The computer is mine, the wires or dishes provided by the IT provider are already being tax. This industry provides large sums of revenue already through sales tax, income tax, usage taxes plus usage taxes, fees, permits,etc... It is time that the taxed told the taxers enough. Time to cut the waste, fraud and fat from their spending habits. We spend over $5000 per student at one of our local public schools, plus donations from churches and clubs and it has the worse educational levels in the county. Yet no-one is held accountable. This is criminal. We spent half that much in the 1960s and education levels were MUCH higher.
