I support any measure that preserves the environment. This bill gives an appearance of supporting clean water & environmental protection while making an effort to undercut both. Because I'm old, I value nature & am very clear on the consequences of being careless with fragile resources that are not easily restored once damaged. You don't have to be an intellectual giant to understand that most members of Congress (Rep DeSantis & Sen Rubio! included) prioritize economic greed over any other issue. Florida has a particularly fragile ecosystem but our junior Senator pretends that climate change is either nonexistent or is impossible to address without hurting the people who shovel $$$ into his campaign coffers. And this while Miami floods regularly! I know this bill not only affects FL which is the reason a bill that more honestly supports clean water & the environment is so important. Destroying the EPA, the Park Service & most of the land that comprises North America is NOT a solution to very real issues. My county gets its water from 1 aquifer which Florida's governor has allowed the Nestle Corporation to deplete. I hope I die before my home becomes a desert!
