For those of you that do not believe there is a wage gap you need to look around or just trust the professionals who keep tabs on the size of the wage gap. I have seen it first hand and was astonished that such existed. The woman involved was paid several thousand per year less than males doing the same job. She was more than qualified, she was the most qualified of the group and that knowledge was more disturbing that could be imaged. She and others in her position eventually brought a class action suit against our employer who had to pay back wages and raise their salaries. We were relieved. Everyone should receive equal pay for equal work. Nothing else should be allowed and if it takes strong legislation to achieve this then that is what should be provided.
