Federal "cops" just like state and local cops, active and retired, part time, full time should carry their guns regardless of what the governments status is. The only exception to this rule would be if the officer him, or herself was permanently fired for violation of a law, rule or regulation of their department or agency. If he/she has been laid off, or on administrative leave they should be allowed to carry their own firearm under a license or permit. If their offense is that serious that they can no longer carry a firearm, maybe they should be in jail? Either way a court of law, or review panel should have the final decision on this subject by applying the circumstances of each case individually.
