Lifeforms exist autonomously. Since a fetus is incapable of exhibiting properties of a living organism when detached from the reproductive organs of it's host, it is no different than a cancerous tumor, which also grows and exhibits characteristics of a living thing until it is removed from the host body. Until the fetus exists autonomously and can survive outside the womb, it must be considered to be a part of the mother's body, and therefore well within her jurisdiction. Arguments made by men about the reproductive rights of women are historically rapacious and not moral at their root. Men who want women to involuntarily carry their children are essentially rapists.
