What we need is for people to be more educated. Looking at sex Ed in schools, and the information they pass on. So some religions are against sex activity before marriage. Not teaching basics with lack of information and not showing alternatives allows for teen pregnancies to be higher. Not to mention the message going out that no doesn't really mean no. Which is idiotic and dangerous for young people. Just see some of the messages on some campuses with new young adults. It's very disturbing that they are thinking it's opposite what the person is saying. For sure child molesters should be monitored. Looking at statistics, even if more don't commit the crime again. A child is so vulnerable, still physically and mentally growing that the trauma from being molested stays for years. I'm not saying that being raped as an adult is less important but from my own experience I'm stronger as a grown up than as a child. I'd for sure report someone at my age should it happen again when I would not say anything as a child. What is more important is the message for people, that they should not be scared to come forward. They suspect that many don't report sexual abuse. It's an awful stigma that we as a society have to work on. The women and men who are sexually abused as a child or as an adult should have a voice.
