I’m with the NYT editorial board here. If anything, the House should be bigger and reshuffled to more consistently represent the people. (Montana and Rhode Island have the same size population but different numbers of representatives? That’s obviously wrong.) I’d agree that my own representative is guilty of two of their concerns: not communicative with his constituents and vulnerable to lobbyists. If he returns to his district, it’s only to meet with a preselected few, never the general public.
