Jim is right. Besides our students need to be able to move about the nation with constant disruptions in the continuity and cohesion in their education.
We do not live in the 50s and 60s. People move, travel and are more connected than ever before.
Use the PISA as a base. If that is the standard for our world peers then, in a global economy, it should be a framework worth considering in preparing US students compete in a global economy.
