This law would not increase individuals with guns as it is using qualified trained officers that already have a gun and work in public areas. Not a single argument against this bill makes sense. I've not seen any helpful or realistic alternatives offered. There are a lot of complicated reasons and steps to resolving the crazy shooter issue but at this point nothing (but opinions) suggest an armed officer increases the risk for a nut case shooting. The crude reference to crazy and nut case is specifically to point out we're dealing with mentally unstable individuals that don't respond to rational discussion. So protect the children first while working on the long term solution. (Pointing fingers at tv news shows goes both ways.)
