1. I thought the republican tax plan already benefitted corporations, so why don’t we just let these companies benefit from the tax breaks they’re about to receive anyway? 2. What I learned about taxes and spending through the republican tax bill, is that in order to cut taxes in one area, you have to cut spending elsewhere to make up the difference in revenue. So who is going to bear the burden from lifting these tariffs? 3. If America wants to increase its competition in international business, it’s not tax breaks these companies need. Instead, America needs to stop producing cheap products with the cheapest material, and calling it quality. Germany, for instance, is known for its quality engineering. It’s tried and true. It’s not just nominally quality, it is reality. So leave these tariffs in place, and work instead of infrastructure. Isn’t that what the tax plan was supposed to anyway?
