My husband & I are 55 year (combined) teachers of high school. My first & likely lasting opinion, as is his, is no... the curriculum should already be taught. However, in light of the various states(Texas, for one) ability to create their own text books, nothing is to be trusted... nor us the US Dept. if Ed. to make a universal curriculum. Let alone to give financial assistance to those not currently teaching it... but no consideration to those schools already doing so. To make a all encompassing curriculum with all the extra resource sites to work in conjunction with ‘all’ the schools is not universally feasible mostly due to location of school to any ‘local’ Jewish support site.
On top of this, we certainly don’t seem to find the need to teach the truth about our own native Americans and what the white settlers TRUTHFULLY did to them ... and are still doing.
So, no... this shouldn’t be done thus way...
