While this bill is a start there is still no language to address Any policy on cancer care in the VA. There are over 15,000 cases of prostate cancer diagnoses each year and the VA has no consistent policy in how to address this issue. The VA also does not have the most current technology to deal with this condition and it needs to support the outsourcing of specialized care. Any cancer patient should be given all the same access to care as private industry. We also need to be screening veterans for prostate cancer each year starting at age 40.
