This is a union busting bill. Congress and Management should look within their own ranks for these “bad and poor preforming” employees. At the VA they have been hiring more and more executive and middle management versus those that actually provide the day to day care of Americans Veterans. Frontline staff are exhausted from working with staffing shortages and constantly being under attack by Congress and the American public. Are there bad federal employees? Yes. Bad employees are everywhere in every business. But the process for removing these bad employees are already there if management were using them correctly!! Plus if you’re in middle management and you screw up or are a poor employee they promote you! Maybe we should flip the pyramid and put frontline staff in charge and make management frontline staff for a change! And for all those people who think federal employees have it sooo easy, our pay is the same as yours, our rules of employment are stricter than yours and if you lose your job for unfair treatment you can sue that employee and probably win. Have you ever tried to sue the federal government for unfair treatment? NO you haven’t as they make the laws that make this an impossibility!!! This is not federal employees vs private sector employees it is David vs Goliath when a low level federal employee must fight for their job when they have done nothing wrong against the federal government.
