In 1994 I signed on to work at an internet startup. The figureheads of the organization were engineers who had developed at least part of networking protocols, still used today. One of the individuals I was assigned to had been a member of the Internet’s Silver Core. His contribution to the internet had been newsgroups. All you have to do is think of Tron. There are the bureaucratic CPU’s and the evil administrators. The internet’s power is derived from core values which support fair and open markets, with unfettered access prevails. Let the network scientist decide how to move forward.
