For the federal government, I am in absolutely favor of this and I think the majority of citizens agree. The Civil War was an insurrection against the United States and the South lost the war. Their flag should be in the Smithsonian Institution and other historical museums, but there should absolutely not be Confederate generals in federal buildings in Washington displayed with honor. I was not aware this was the case before Charlottesville and I think that's really messed up. If the majority of a Southern State's citizens want to include the Confederate flag amongst their state Government Speech - well, that may be their right. I think it's traitorous and should be avoided because it implies hatred and bigotry towards a group of its citizens.
