People within the LGBTQ+ community should be a protected class, due to the fact that people in the community ARE discriminated against because of their gender identity and sexuality; our identity and/or sexuality shouldn't effect work quality. Even if it was against their employers religion (and employers have the right to voice their opinion on their beliefs as well), it should not pose any threat to the work place and definitely shouldn't give employers the right to discriminate against the community. Choosing not to make them a protected class because you disagree with the lifestyle goes against the separation of church and state. They are not protesting your religion yet people protest their lifestyle. No one should face discrimination.
