The militarization of police forces is the act of paranoid society/government. It pits local, state and federal law enforcement agencies against the constituents of whom they are bound by Constitution and the law itself to protect and serve. The act in and of itself states, that the will of the law and those who hold the power of the "law" are above and beyond the people from whom law enforcement and all of government are granted the right to exist. Government gains it's right to exist from the people! People do not gain their rights from the government! Furthermore, the militarization of law enforcement creates an arms race with the criminal and other deviant forces that will only end with the destruction of society itself. Chaotic anarchy will be given justification by the diminishing value of the people by under the oppressive thumb of the militarization of local governments, militarization of state government and the further militarization of the federal government. History shown this scenario time and again; do we really have to face it once again?
