Please do not have a knee jerk reaction to this. When given proper thought, this is a very dangerous law. Who decides? Is there due process? Wouldn't we as a country prefer to be in control of someone who is "declared" a terrorist rather than just revoking their citizenship? As I understand it, under current law the State Dept. can revoke the U.S. nationality of Americans who formally renounce their citizenship, become citizens of or pledge allegiance to foreign nations, engage in hostilities against the U.S., or are convicted of treason. We do not need to create a situation were we are calling groups terror groups (who defines?) and stripping citizenship. Want to revoke someone's citizenship, bring them up on charges of treason. The steps toward fascism:Step 1) make it so terrorists lose citizenship. Step 2) Classify people who disagree with you as terrorists. Step 3) Deport opposition. VERY TROUBLING!
