Following the industrialized genocide of millions that was the holocaust the world looked on in horror. Promising it's children and all future generations "Never again". While to promise an end to all hatred and evil fueled through ethnic and ideological lines is basically impossible, I nevertheless always saw the inherent meaning in this statement, "Never again will we turn our backs on the brotherhood of humankind" and let such a horrific reality unfold. Sadly the world has allowed this to unfold multiple times. From the mass grave sites seen in the Yugoslav Wars to the bombed out churches that still litter Rwanda. In each occasion the world watched on for months as hundreds of thousands of innocent souls, from farmers to children, were mascaraed in some of the most horrific and savage of manners. How many more nations must be littered with reminders of how terrible war and hate can truly be? How many more times must we debate whether or not the targeted killings of a people are "genocide" or "somthing else but still tragic"? How many times must we not only disappoint our ancestors but fail future generations as well? I plead to whomever reads this, take a stand for the right side of history. Lets not add another failure to the growing list of "Never again -- Starting now"
