Money already is power, nobody denies that. Citizen's United gives money even more sway by stating that money actually is literal power. Why would we double down on this natural segregation between the rich [powerful] and the poor [marginalized] instead of attempting to level the playing field and make each voice equal in political opinion. Poor voices don't have less important concerns so why should we widen the gap giving them even less representation? Citizen's United doesn't protect free speech, it drowns out the free speech of some by letting others shout as loud as they want.
