This is how companies have been screwing us for years. If by sheer chance you end up with a position that actually pays the bills and leaves some extra, growing companies like these are the best bang for the investment buck. But they tend to dilute our investment in an attempt to help their managers avoid paying income tax. You know those options are virtually tax free right? So the company gives all the value to the managers and the small investor gets a smaller and smaller piece of the pie. No more free options. Pay must be all cash or benefits. And not boat club memberships or cost of living bonuses, but tax deductible benefits, 401k, health insurance, HSA's, insurance maybe. But get real.
