I cannot, in good conscience, sit by and say nothing. Assad should be tried for war crimes, and he should be given a fair trial to ensure that the whole truth is revealed. As a major power in both the United Nations and the world, we cannot sit back and permit evil to go on. We must not only take action, but take prudent action and ensure that the victims get the help they need and that a good leadership will reign in Syria, lest extremists from any side try to fill any power vacuum if and when Assad is tried and/or punished. To everyone saying "it's not our job," it is our duty as humans to do what we can to protect the innocent and bring them justice. Also, I must stress that we must help the people of Syria, *including letting in refugees*.
