Firstly: CHURCH | STATE. You cannot shove your religion into my uterus. Secondly: what is up with all the non-womb-havers thinking their opinions should be law? If you can't be impregnated, then you shouldn't be able to tell us what to do if we are. Thirdly, and this is more important, which "life" should we value more - the cluster of cells that accidentally got attached to the wall of someone's uterus (which, by the way, is an equal responsibility between that person and the provider of the sperm, who is not being "punished" here), or the ACTUAL HUMAN BEING who it has become lodged in? That living breathing walking talking human being owes nothing to the bundle of cells - accidents happen. We have a right to access the tools to correct those accidents. My mother had three abortions before she had me - because she wasn't ready. She was at a place in her life where having a baby would have been detrimental to me and her both. So I "waited" until she was at a healthy place in her life and I LOVE her for that. There are already so many abandoned, unloved, abused, parentless ACTUAL children in this world whose parents weren't ready for them. WHY would ANYONE want to add to their numbers? Besides, you will never eliminate abortion. People will just perform illegal abortions at home or in secret offices and they will DIE. This government will have the blood of millions (more) on its hands. And all this aside, we own our own bodies. The decision belongs to us and ONLY to us. Keep your wrinkly, white, clammy, obstinate male hands out of my uterus.
