As long as the President is the President, his/her decisions, regulations, rulings should be honored. It's a disgrace to this country that Merrick Garland's nomination wasn't reviewed by the Senate. If anything, we should make it mandatory that judicial nominees get a fair and rapid hearing; none of this junior-high-school pouting and withdrawal that slows down the process of government and impedes the highest court's ability to make important rulings. The President's power should be consistent from the first day to the last day of his/her term. Then the term "lame duck" wouldn't mean a thing.
