What a great idea for cars and terrible idea for a law. Our national Congress has way more pressing issues to address than picking and choosing which car "safety" features from luxury auto makers need to be incorporated by Ford. This isn't even a genuine safety feature it's a convenient feature for oblivious parents and pet owners who are too stupid or forgetful to know they shouldn't leave their children/pets locked in a hot car. is people excepted a little personal responsibility our government could be less involved in our personal lives and less expensive to the taxpayer. How about we just criminalize leaving children and pets in locked, unventilated vehicles as an act of cruelty and put some news stories in mainstream media about parents going to jail for doing it. We won't need to create a whole new office in a government bureaucracy to enforce regulations on private companies to achieve the goal of children not being left in hot cars.
