This bill will not help students or their parents make better decisions, and will only complicate loan borrowing. Instead Congress should focus on collecting data on where colleges are spending student's tuition, as at many schools (especially for-profit ones) administrative support staff are a major factor driving up costs, while giving little benefit to students. Higher Education is important in an advanced society, and you need all five parts of S.T.E.A.M. from science to the arts to mathematics. Neglecting one part weakens the others. Congress should focus on why it is costing so much to provide a comprehensive education, not worrying about whether students understand how to pay for it.
