Too little, too late. I’ve watched China violate international trade laws, including by stealing intellectual property and exporting products at a loss killing native countries and businesses, for at least 40 years (yes, I’m old and a tail-end baby boomer to boot) without any meaningful response from the international community. Now, they have parasitically wormed their way into the heart of the global political bodies since they have gained the economic power to eat them from the inside out. I don’t know that there is enough international political will to endure the economic pain likely to follow attempts to impose consequences for China’s violations of international trade law and treaties. Still, I suppose any attempt is better than nothing.
