We need to think why the EPA was started and how much we've benefited since. Air pollution threatens or health, the environment, and infrastructure. Primary pollutants are those that affect human health and secondary are those that affect the environment/infrastructure. So, the primary purpose of environmental regulations are to protect human health. These regulations are put in place to help society. Water contamination is a problem that shouldn't be happening and shows that there needs to be more regulation. Almost all of the negative effects on the environment will eventually affect human health.
