I used to raise chickens for eggs when I had a small farm. I can tell you it was one of the dirtiest jobs of the day to go collect eggs because the chicken coup was so dirty. They do not clean up after themselves, after-all. We need to have the USDA have strict guidelines to sell chicken eggs and chicken meat to the public.
Those chickens roasted in the store that smell so good??? How can you be sure they were even cooked to the right temperature? And if not?? Bingo! Possible food poisoning. It will cost a lot of money for care and cure.
