Most of these prisoners are held under what is euphemistically called "administrative detention". They have not stood before a court and found guilty. Not at all, they have been picked up by the IOF because they are influential in their communities, because they criticise the Israeli administration and because they organise/participate in protests. Excercising one's democratic right to free speech is an indictable offence in Israel. If, as Israel claims, it is the only democracy in the Middle East then let it prove its democratic credentials by releasing these innocents.
