A beautiful healthy 18 month old baby giraffe was killed on Saturday by Bengt Holst, scientific director at the Danish zoo because the director said Marius's genes were already overpopulated.
The zoo bred this baby, raised him until 18 months and then allowed Bengt Holst to kill him when other zoos were willing to take him. Director Bengt Holst needs to be removed from his job and not allowed to work with animals again.
Please help to stop the senseless killing of our precious animals. Read Marius's story and the irresponsible actions of the Copenhagen zoo and it's Scientific Director who made the cold and uncaring decision that ended Marius's life. Contact the Copenhagen Zoo and ask for Bengt Holst to be removed from his job.
Speak up for Marius and all other healthy, living creatures that are killed without remorse because they are unwanted or valued.
