The ASL community has a pretty special place in my heart. I've always had an interest in languages and took an ASL class back in college for fun and eventually began to attend deaf socials and meet others in the deaf community. The deaf community is especially prominent in the Bay Area. (California School for the Deaf is located in Fremont.)
I know many of my deaf friends love to watch movies and YouTube videos, which is all possible through closed captioning and/or subtitles. I urge UpWorthy, a website that often has really inspiring and thought provoking videos, to offer access to the videos to the deaf community through closed captioning every video.
