Lacy Kozak is working to End Sexual Violence, Starting in Texas

Lacy Kozak

We grow up with subtle things being said, ideas being implanted, like boys don't cry, and don't realize how much it impacts our way of thinking, our outlook on life, our perspective of others. Therefore it greatly impacts how males see females and how females see themselves, which, in turn, greatly effects sexual violence. Ending gender stereotypes is a place to start and each individual who pledges to start that change makes a difference. I will teach my son it's okay to cry and that there's nothing wrong with hitting like a girl because girls aren't weak. I will teach my son it's okay to play with dolls to help him learn to care for children because it's not just a woman's job to take care of the kids.
