California is in crisis: even with the rain of recent days, we are in the midst of the worst drought in our state's history.
Yet at the same time, Governor Brown is continuing to allow fracking to take place around the state, permanently removing millions of gallons of water out of the water cycle. What's worse, fracking for more oil in California goes against everything we now know about our climate. We have to leave this oil in the ground.
But Californians are beginning to rise up and say no. And that's why we're so excited to be teaming up with groups from across the state to organize a massive people-powered rally on March 15th in Sacramento.
And we need you -- and all of your friends -- to be there.
If you can't be there in person? Don't worry, we'll be organizing an online action so that we can all stand in solidarity with those rallying outside the State Capital.
The 'Don't Frack California' rally is already shaping up to be one of the largest anti-fracking rallies the state has ever seen, but we can't pull it off without your help. Pledge to let us know you're coming, we'll send you RSVP information, and then share the news widely. Signing up will also keep you in the loop on important updates and announcements over the coming weeks as the event comes together.
