As a soldier who joined at the age of 17 while still in high school I wholly support recruitment in high schools. I joined in 2002 as a junior and as of today am still serving. No one forced me to join. No one told me I had to join. It was one of many options of which for my own reasons I chose to take part in. Freedoms we enjoy in America are about choice. Take away choice and you have no freedoms. The military in its current format is a choice. One that people need to make for themselves. Under current law you can join at 17 with parental consent as I did. Recruiters need to go where the recruits are, and they are in high school.
